Photochromic glasses

Why use glasses that darken in the sun?

Photochromic lenses change from clear to grey, brown or dark green.
They are prescription glasses that darken in sunlight, so you won't have to change glasses.
In addition, they reduce glare, prevent eye fatigue and filter a greater amount
of harmful light rays than conventional lenses.

How do they work?

They only darken and lighten in sunlight (direct and indirect light) and will not change color if exposed to artificial light, which is why they become completely clear indoors. The level of darkness and the speed of transition depend on the level of UV exposure and the temperature. The coating is inside the lens, so it will not scratch or peel off.

Photochromic lenses are available for all types of prescription, from single vision and progressive to non-prescription and reading.

They include anti-reflective, anti-scratch treatment and block 100% of UVA and UVB rays.

How to buy photochromic glasses online?

1. Find the glasses you like and click "Add to Cart." (As you normally would.)

2. Select the type of lenses. Choose between single vision lenses (for seeing well up close or far away) or progressive lenses (for seeing up close, far away and in between). We also have reading glasses (no prescription required!) and non-prescription lenses.

3. Add photochromic lenses for €80. We will give you the color of the lenses you see in the product photo, although if you prefer to change the color (gray, brown or green), write to us at hello@millerandmarc.com
