Contact Lens Guide
As a general rule, you should not sleep with contact lenses: during sleep, when your eyes are closed, the supply of oxygen essential for the cornea is reduced. If you also have contact lenses on, this supply is even lower.
Contact lenses are made from highly permeable materials, so eye drops should not be used with them unless explicitly instructed to do so by your optician or ophthalmologist.
If you wear makeup, you will need to put your contact lenses in before doing so, and remove them before removing your makeup.
Always wash your hands before handling contact lenses, change the solution in your case every time you use them, and rinse it once a week with drinking water.

Frequent questions
Will I have the same prescription for glasses and contact lenses?
The distance from the corrective lens to the eye affects the prescription, which is why the prescription for glasses is usually different from that for contact lenses. The difference increases with the prescription: up to 3 diopters there is no difference between glasses and contact lenses, but from 3 onwards there is.
At what age is it advisable to start using contact lenses?
There is no set age. You can wear contact lenses as long as you are able to put them in and take them out without help and can care for them properly.
I want to start using contact lenses, how do I do it?
The ideal is to do an adaptation study to determine the ideal contact lens according to use and prescription.
There are hydrogel and silicone hydrogel contact lenses, which one should I choose?
Silicone hydrogel outperforms classic hydrogel in terms of oxygen permeability, keeping the cornea more oxygenated and allowing for prolonged and comfortable use. This is crucial in monthly contact lenses, while quality daily disposable lenses also ensure good oxygenation.
