The design of our chamois
We were born in Malasaña, as you probably already know, and perhaps that is why we have so internalized the artisan spirit and all that it entails.
We love the proximity, the good atmosphere, the fact that someone who comes to the optician's tells us that they have been getting lost in the streets of Malasaña (intentionally) for a long time. And that in that time they have found a vintage clothing store that they loved and have eaten a wonderful crepe two blocks from our optician's .
Perhaps this is why we fight every day to give visibility to small businesses or independent workers who make us smile. And if these people also share with us that artisan spirit that characterizes us, all the better.
Who is Nuel?
Nuel is an illustrator who works with digital illustration, murals and live painting. He studied traditional animation film, which made him finally discover that the world of art was his thing and what he wanted to dedicate himself to forever.
With Nuel, among other things, we share that artisan spirit that we talked about at the beginning and that we love. According to the artist, when it comes to choosing his materials: “I love specialized physical stores, the traditional ones, I only buy online if I already know what I need and I am short on time.”
She defines herself as different. She looks for beautiful “imperfections” in her work, and in this way she moves away from perfect shapes. “I like simple drawings with lots of lines, where each one has a reason.”
We love proximity, a good atmosphere, art and a job well done. And Nuel is the best at this. “Devoting yourself exclusively to art is still very complicated. I am still trying to find the formula, because there is no universal one, except for an infinite bank account. This profession requires work, learning and a lot of persistence.”
